Velivolo [ve 'livolo] - meaning aircraft, an airplane, helicopter, or other machine capable of flight.
Velivolo aims to bring back the lost art of craftsmanship due to the ever evolving technology based world we now live in and brings people back to rediscover the enjoyment of the hands on approach to building and creating. This is a craftsmanship hub that educates those wanting to delve themselves into the art of creating by hand, in an environment of like minded individuals and encourages through collaboration and exploration.
Velivolo will be able to facilitate both school aged students and the residents of the Fortitude Valley area. Whether they want to assemble flat pack furniture or complete a DIY project. This is a hub they can come, rent the tools they need and get hands on experience from local trade professionals.
The hub consists of breakout spaces for relaxation & recouperation or a space for seminars to be conducted. A tool library for hiring tools, including a checkout desk & store. The final space is the workshop with materials & tool storage, welding facilities and where larger projects can be completed.
Reception Desk | For checking in of users and to answer any questions and queries.
Rentals Desk | For hiring out of equipment & tools, also available to make bookings into seminars or workshop slots.
Tool Library | Where users can gather the tools they need for in the workshop or select what they would like to hire out.
Breakout Spaces | For users to collaborate, conduct seminars or complete smaller DIY projects.
Workshop Space | For larger scale projects, storage for larger tools & materials.
Kitchenette | Space for refreshments and another breakout area for users. Food & Drink facilities available for users and mentors who are conducting workshop seminars.
